And one more thing...

We could absolutely not resist for one single second the amazingness (yeah, I just made that word up) of these two little cupcakes. They came wandering up to our stand with chins and hands dripping with fresh cherry juice. ..the epitome of summer, I think.

These are the images that make us love what we do. We set up at the farmers market every summer because of the amazing produce, products, and people that are found here weekly. Like those cherry pie bars from last week? You can thank Colin at The Fruit Stand. Remember our remarkably Austrian neighbor Herbert, aka provider of the Best Bavarian sausages ever? Yeah, he keeps our markets full or spirit and amazing sausage variety.

Cherry Creek Farmers Market is a great place to stroll through, buy a few (or a few dozen-we're ready for you) goodies from us gals at Sugar Bakeshop, and take advantage of the bounty that Colorado farms offer this time of year. Life gets busy and weekends get filled, but don't forget to let yourself really enjoy our beautiful Colorado summers, just like these sticky cherry spirits above.

Tweeting and Blogging and Baking and Frosting

Did you know that in between our early morning wake up calls, baking dozens upon dozens up dozens of goodies, selling said goodies at 3 different markets around town, AND filling orders throughout the week that we STILL have time to tweet, or, make that twitter?!

Yeah, I know, we are signing autographs for anybody interested. We can also juggle, tell jokes, and sing like nobody's business (Actually it really SHOULDN'T be anybody's business-we aren't that good). Come to think of it, I don't know if any of my jokes are worth telling, and Lizzy hasn't juggled in YEARS. So the only thing that we can GUARANTEE is that we spend our lives baking with love, and THAT is why it is worth knowing what we are up to at all times of the day.

But the whole point of this little blog is to let you know, that the best way to find out where we are and what we are serving up during the week is by following our little twits, or make that tweets (?) throughout the week. So go ahead, and follow our crazy, sugar-driven lives...we would love to have you join us!

Wanna Split?

These girls showed up to the Cherry Creek Farmer's Market ready to split a Cherry Blossom Cupcake!  I mean, really who can resist a cherry almond cupcake topped with a light vanilla bean frosting?  It's simple, sweet, and perfect, just like our menu solicits...and just like these girls can testify by their ear-to-ear smile!

See you at the market!

Well little Sugar Bakeshop has gotten a little shout out in the June issue of 5280! Thanks to Sam at Sweet Action, our little whoopie pies (or whoopity pies, as our Austrian farmers market neighbor, Herbert likes to call them) are a bit more famous! We always thought that they were cute and delicious, but what do you expect from the proud bakers?

Thanks Sweet Action! Now come get your whoopie pies!!

Oh, and here's a closeup of the article (just in case you want to see the details):
